The Library offers many online resources for research. Included is the Vermont Online Library, a resource for children to adults covering a wide range of topics such as geography, current events, the arts, science, health, people, government, history, sports and more.

Genealogy enthusiasts will find HeritageQuest Online (in Library use only) invaluable for researching ancestors. It includes census images from 1790-1930, over 23,000 family and local histories, the PERSI index of over 2.1 million historical articles, Revolutionary War data and more.

Newspaper indexes from the Burlington and Rutland areas are also available as are comprehensive obituary and death notices.
