We have more than 100 subscriptions of magazines that circulate. Back issues are kept for 2-3 years for some of the titles. Vermont Online (VOL) provides access to many journal/magazine articles electronically. A journal title search will show full-text availability. We also offer electronic magazines for DAML patron through RBDigital.
Audiobooks on CD, MP3, Playaway and downloadable
We have an extensive collection of audiobook titles, some are abridged although we try to provide the unabridged version whenever possible. We offer adult and juvenile fiction, nonfiction, parenting and language lessons for your use. We are also a member of Listen Up! Vermont and RBDigital which provide downloadable audiobooks and e-books.
We have a collection of over 2,500 adult and juvenile DVD's, including some PBS series, Vermont history and classic movies on DVD's. Our DVD purchasing policy may be found here.
A variety of over 650 music CD's are available for check out in the Adult Reading Room and in the Living Room area near the children's section.
Vermont and Williston Books
The Vermont Historical Room is the home of the Williston Historical Society and houses historical books as well as displays of historical interest. Much of this material must be used in this room. The town history of Williston by Willard Sterne Randall and Nancy Nahra, published by the Williston Historical Society and entitled Thomas Chittenden's Town: A Story of Williston Vermont is available for sale at the circulation desk.
The History of Williston Central School, 1950-2000 and North Williston: Down Depot Hill by Richard Allen are also available for sale.
