Poor Farms and Orphanages in Early Vermont
Learn about the precarious lives of children in poverty in early 20th century Vermont. UVM professor and WHS board member, Meghan Cope, has done extensive research into records from the Home for Destitute Children, which was located in Burlington. Mah Jongg @ the Library!
Have you wanted to learn how to play, revisit the game or just love the game of Mah Jongg? We are offering bimonthly sessions of this tile-based game on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Come alone or bring a friend and play with members of the community. All experience levels are welcome. Wednesdays, September 25, from 1-3:30 pm.
