Learn About Becoming a Census Worker
Interested in finding out what it takes to be a census taker? Jeanne Zimmerman will share this and opportunities available with the 2020 Census VT Team. Temporary part and full time positions (paying $16.50 and up, plus mileage) available in Chittenden County, now through 2020. Great for seniors and students over the age of 18 by March 1, 2020. Wednesday, December 11, 3:30-5:30 pm and Tuesday, December 17, 1-2:30 pm.
Learn a Language with Mango
The Friends of the Dorothy Alling Library are pleased to sponsor an online language-learning product named Mango. This free service is available to all DAML cardholders. Pick from 71 languages as well as 21 ESL (English as a second language) courses, movies in other languages and specialty courses.
Pick a basic course to quickly learn basic words and phrases or a complete course to move beyond the basics! There are apps available for iPad's, iPhone's and Androids. See the support page on the Mango site for help in addressing any concerns.
